Carolina Crossing Golf Club, located in York, South Carolina, is an eighteen-hole semi-private championship golf course. The course offers a challenging layout in a park-like setting with 419 Bermuda grass fairways and 328 Bermuda greens. Carolina Crossing Golf Club now offers NEW asphalt cart paths all around the course, replaced all of the bunckers as well as adding 11 additional ones, renovations to the clubhouse and grill room is still going on, and a enhanced short game practice area is in the works!
Carolina Crossing Golf Club began as a nine hole course in the 1970's and was developed based upon a course seen overseas. In 1985 the course was transformed into an eighteen hole championship course, and into the layout players see today. If you view the before and after pictures, you will see that at the time of acquisition, the course was in a state of neglect. After four months of intense work, which should have taken eight months to complete, the former Carolina Downs Country Club was opened to the public as Carolina Crossing Golf Club. With future private estate development plans, the Carolina Crossing Community will only grow into a more mature and lush recreational area for all to enjoy!
